Manish Singh is a quantitative trader at Cubist Systematic Strategies, New York. He currently trades mid frequency equity strategies across global markets using advanced statistical and mathematical models. Manish in his current role develops computerized trading strategies by analyzing large and complex data sets using mathematical techniques and data oriented programming languages. Manish previously worked at Blackrock solutions and UBS Investment Bank where he was instrumental in implementing large scale risk systems for pricing and valuing complex synthetic derivatives. His areas of interest are building systematic trading strategies, Alpha design, portfolio management, risk modeling and execution algorithms. Manish received his BTech degree from IIT Kanpur, MS degree in Computer Science from Purdue University and MS degree in Financial Mathematics from the University of Chicago.
Niels O Nygaard is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Chicago since 1982. Prior to joining the University of Chicago he taught at Princeton University. He holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from MIT. Professor Nygaard was the Director of the Financial Mathematics Program since its inception in 1996 until April 2010. Besides his interest in Financial Mathematics he has done research in Arithmetic, Algebraic Geometry and Number Theory. Professor Nygaard was the founding director of both the Financial Mathematics Program and the Stevanovich Center for Financial Mathematics. Professor Nygaard is a recognized scientist in the field of financial mathematics and has a long list of publications.
Dr Rao was a former Professor in the department of Civil Engineering at IIT Kanpur. Dr Rao is presently a Professor in Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. He received Ph.D degree in Civil Engineering from IIT Kanpur and ME degree from IISC Bangalore. Dr Rao area of research are Numerical Algorithms, Finite Element analysis, Foundation dynamics and Computational Mechanics. Dr Rao has published 4 International text books, 2 book chapters, over 150 research papers in Journals like ASCE, ASME, AIAA and is a member of Editorial Board and Reviewer of prestigious Journals. He held several important academic management positions at IIT Kanpur like Head of Civil Engineering, Head of Computer Center, Chairman- GATE and Chairman- Central Counselling Board, Government of India.
Dr. Varghese John (VJ) is an experienced technologist with a scientific research background and a love for learning and teaching science, technology and mathematics. His research career in Physics includes work in String theory, Quantum Gravity, fluctuating membranes, matrix models and quantum mechanics. As a technologist, he has led global teams delivering innovative solutions to complex problems for leading financial service organizations. Amit Kumar Das is currently working as an Assistant General Manager at Air India, the flag carrier airline of India. Mr Das in his current role is responsible for the Operations Data Management at the AI Integrated Control Center and also heads the IT & MIS department of Alliance Air (Subsidiary of Air India). Mr Das is an industry veteran with 18 years of experience in using Data to Optimize Airline Operations and handling of cross functional large IT teams. Mr Das received B.Tech (Electrical Engineering) degree from IIT Kanpur and an MBA degree from FMS, University of Delhi. Mr Das is passionate about teaching and establishing a platform which can provide highest quality education in the area of data science to motivated professionals. Mr Das is also a Guest Faculty at FMS, University of Delhi where he teaches Operations Management courses.
Dr Rajesh Mehara is a practicing Chartered Accountant with over 30 years of experience and is a senior partner of Mehra Rajesh & Associates. His areas of expertise are Banking, Taxation and Project Financing. Dr Mehara has held several important management positions in the past, like President of Kanpur Income Tax Bar Association, Accredited Consultant for Small Industrial Development Bank of India (SIDBI), represented Rotary 3110 to United States of America as Group Leader for a Study Exchange Program. Dr Mehara holds a PhD degree in Banking, Chartered Accountant (CA) degree from Institute of Chartered Accountants, New Delhi and a bachelor of Law and Legislature (LLB) degree.
Mr R N Singh received his undergraduate degree in Humanities from the Hindu College, Delhi University and a Law degree from Law Faculty, Delhi University.
Rajiv started his career with the Delhi Cloth & General Mills in their Legal department but shortly joined Tata Steel in their Marketing and Sales Division. During his 30 year career at Tata Steel, he managed and executed sales and marketing of new and existing products across the country. His ease and expertise in man management saw him heading the Company's greenfield Steel plant project in Chhattisgarh as its Chief Resident Executive, interacting with Government officials and the masses. He also held senior management positions at Tata Ryerson Pvt Ltd and at Avon Ispat & Engineering Company. Rajiv is also a member of the Bar Council of Delhi as an Advocate.
Mallika Singh is responsible for the Firm's Human Resources, Legal, Business Development and Marketing functions. Mallika has held several legal and HR positions prior to this role. Mallika earned her 5 Year Law Degree (JD Equivalent) from Symbiosis Society's Law College Pune, Diploma in Consumer laws from Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, Pune and Foreign Lawyer's Program Certificate from Pace University School of Law, NY. In addition to her Industry experience, Mallika is an active member of Junior League of Greenwich CT and serves on the PTA board of the International School at Dundee, CT.
